What brand of hot tubs do you sell?

We sell Hot Spring, Tiger River, and Solana Spas. Hot Spring Spas are known for their excellence and quality. They are the “world’s number one selling brand, and have been the market leader since 1977.” Hot Spring spas are one of the few brands that test each tub before it gets shipped out.

What does it mean to clean my spa filter cartridge? How do I do so?

In cleaning your cartridge filter, you are removing debris and thus allowing for better water flow. You can do so by washing the inside and out of the filter with a garden hose. However, filters should be replaced regularly.

Do I need specific chemicals?

Sanitizers, oxidizers and balancing chemicals are needed. You can purchase them from us by phone, in store or even online. If they are ordered online or over the phone, we can have them shipped to you.

When should I shut down the tub for the season?

Many customers choose to keep their spas and hot tubs running year round. However, if this is not for you, whenever you want to shut it down can be arranged. Keep in mind however, that simply draining the spa is not sufficient. Water should be properly blown out to keep the pipes from freezing. See our Services Provided page for Winterization.

How often do I change the water?

This often depends on your usage. We suggest changing the water every 3-4 months.

Is it safe for children to use?

Generally yes, but they should be supervised at all times to prevent any accidents. You may also want to check with a pediatrician since the core temperature of children rises faster than that of adults.

How much time will it take to maintain?

If you have the ozone filtration system, that reduces the amount of chemicals needed in keeping the water sanitized and balanced. Otherwise, cleaning your filters monthly and adding sanitizer once a week is all you have to do!

Where should I put my tub?

Wherever you choose to put it, make sure there is adequate space for the tub to fit. Otherwise, take a chair around your yard. Sit in the chair and see if that’s the view you want. You want the atmosphere to be what you’re looking for. You don’t want to have the tub installed only to find out that you have a perfect view of your neighbor’s living room, or under a particularly leafy tree.

Can I install it myself?

Your tub will be delivered by professionals; they’ve been trained to deliver and install the hot tub so that it gets done properly. It’s a rather large investment, and you want to make sure everything is done correctly. You will also need electrical service to the area, so you will need an electrician.
